Pataskala Meats is a diverse business, catering to the food needs of all people. Pataskala Meats always has a selection of live lamb and goat in the back barn, pig and cow upon request/appointment. If you come during the slaughter open times, you do not have to have an appointment for goat or sheep purchase and on the spot processing.
Animals are sold for a lump sum price based on weight. For on the spot processing, our employees will kill the animal, skin the animal, take out insides of the animal and provide to the customer. Basic cut up on meat saw into smaller pieces is also included in lump price. We do NOT bone out the meat, only cut up on saw into smaller manageable pieces. If bone out is needed then an additional fee will apply. Customer is allowed to use the facility, water, buckets, etc. to work on their own intestine and stomach cleaning, but this service is not included in pricing (our employees do not do it). Skinning and cutting of head are not included in basic pricing. We do not “burn” hair. Sheep, goats, and pigs are skinned. We do not allow the burning of hair or hot water shaving of hair on animals. If you want to burn or shave hair then you can take the animal home and work on it yourself, in a garage, etc. There is a price reduction for animals that are kill and take home only.
